Yay total convenience, finally!
And that’s exactly how this cashless-ness will be, well, sold. And make no mistake, they are pushing for it, as many have been predicting (especially in the last few years).
And quick shout-out to Bob Moran for capturing the point:
…you see the majority of people, at least at first thought, will not see any real problems with society going cashless. It will seem convenient. Most already use contactless payment as default, be it with a card or their Smartphones…or possibly soon, Microchips under the skin connected to their Digital ID/Digital Wallet - which is another thing that many of us have warned about and just got sent back pictures of people in tinfoil hats as a reward - but now is pushed in the mainstream as a positive:
And those things are fine (well, certainly not the Mark of the Beast™️…but you do you). I’m not saying get rid of those at all, nearly all of us use these methods - I’m saying let there be options. To be clear, I’m not against Cryptocurrency. Digital Currencies have huge potential for those us who value freedom - when it’s the decentralised variety. The issue is, they not only want to get rid of cash, they want to force you onto their centralised, fiat version of Digital Currency. That’s a big problem.
You see what most people are failing to grasp, or entertain, are the seriously bad aspects of going cashless. Now some of these are just practical ones like negatively impacting people who cannot afford Smartphones (but don’t worry, I’m sure state-issued tracking devices, sorry, Smartphones - reminder that I said “if something begins with “Smart”; it is undoubtedly dangerous for humanity” on this article) - will be on the horizon), or those who aren’t able to use technology that well for a myriad of reasons.
Then there are problems that could arise if the internet goes down, your phone battery has died, or you left it at home (though doubtful you’ll forget your appendage soon if you need to scan it everywhere you go 😉) as you’ll not be able to pay/get paid. So, Microchip or not, still the Mark of the Beast™️…
But I’m not particularly talking about these things either. I mean the REALLY bad stuff. The Great Reshaping of Society, as they see fit:
The plan to go cashless, which is eagerly being adopted by megacorp brands (and, sadly, even some small businesses like local Pubs):
…can open the door to fully fledged Social Credit Systems and the like.
You see, going cashless could result in TOTAL CONTROL of your lives. Every single aspect of what you want to do, down to the whim of those in charge. And watched. We already saw the freezing of Bank Accounts in Canada for people supporting freedom in February 2022, and that could become so easy to do at a moment’s notice to everyone and anyone for any reason when society is totally reliant on being digital. The UK/EU, US, Canada et al are all working towards going cashless and it’s no secret Western nations are jealous of China’s system. Remember when Justin Trudeau said he admired their “basic Dictatorship”? There if you say the wrong thing online, that could mean, for example, no more using Public transport, or perhaps receiving Public shaming. Possibly no ability to buy food, even. Make no mistake, this is exactly the kind of thing it can lead to:
…this, in my opinion, is so anti-human, so anti-freedom, and just so wrong.
The above could be achieved via their Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC). Again, something else warned about a few years ago and since. Just like with the floating of Digital ID’s, at the time when CBDC’s were warned of (which link in with such a system being in place), people just called it a “Crazy Conspiracy Theory”. Then we see, when it starts coming true, those same people change their tune to “well it’s good ackchyually!”.
The cognitive dissonance is obvious to see. The cowardice too. And I don’t blame people - I get it - but I do wish things were taken more seriously and not just explained away as fine, all for an easy life - because ultimately - there won’t be an easy life if all the plans get in place.
And yes, they are working on these CBDC’s. It’s not a Conspiracy Theory, just an actual conspiracy to try and bring in an easily controlled and centralised form of, well, Slave Coupons™️ some might say:
…with the now (at time of writing because BoJo might come back) PM of UK at first trying to encourage the Tory voter base to love the idea of it (the other voter base will largely love it regardless, as is required by their ideology), just because the word ‘Brit’ is in it:
…sigh.
You see they aren’t happy with you using cash. And especially so of decentralised Cryptocurrency (if that really truly *exists*, or will remain that way), because of its anonymity and greater ability for public led adoption to drive its value and worth. They’re already on the attack by citing its ability to aid criminals (as in other criminals, not the ones on Wall Street) and worsen the Climate Crisis™️, as happily spouted by Senator Warren in the US for example:
…this despite some positing that Bitcoin causes less of a “Carbon Footprint” (we’ll play by their game for a moment) than their Banking Behemoth:
…they must be having a right old laugh at our expense.
That being said; Bitcoin is rumoured to be something MIT created. So is likely still controlled by Them. Perhaps it’s just an illusion to STILL get you into Their System…
With CBDC’s, as alluded to above, everything you purchase is theoretically at the behest of those who issue it. Everything you buy with it can be tracked and monitored. With cash you have some control. Some autonomy. Of course the standard line they use regarding this (as parroted by unwitting members of the public, as they have been programmed to by their idiot boxes), is along the lines of “if you’re not doing anything wrong then you’ve nothing to hide”. This goes against one of the last few things society has left - some semblance of privacy and agency. Why give it away so readily? To people who keep all the aspects of their lives, their financial transactions, their trips to private islands and more a secret, no less.
It’s sad people don’t *feel* why it’s so wrong. If you encounter someone using the above logic, perhaps present them with an argument I always make:
If I go into a shop to purchase some groceries, I’m not doing anything *wrong*, I’ve nothing to hide. But if during my entire shopping trip some random man in a trench coat, hat and sunglasses follows me, watching everything I put into my basket, it’s weird. Creepy. Extremely invasive. Nothing I’m buying is salacious or illegal. It’s just some food. But I still don’t want someone following me watching my every move - would you? Because what they want is the same thing - you just don’t see the man…which, if anything, is even creepier. And soon, that man might not even *allow* you to buy the food you want!
The agenda for the above results in at best a paternalistic nanny-state, and at worst a dystopian enslavement of society where collectivism rules and individualism must be quashed. Do people really want that for their children and future generations?
The notion of CBDC’s affecting your ability to buy what you want, or to save a nest-egg if they decide to use expiry dates on said Digital Currency, is quite disturbing:
…but don’t worry, because as stated by the World Economic Forum - “you will own nothing, and be happy” 🙃
And if above stark warnings are too far-fetched for most (I won’t even get into the potential of QR tracked food and goods here), they must at least realise not being able to easily give some cash-gifts, tips, have a quick wager and the like, is anything but “convenient”.
There are some methods to push back - CashIsFreedom offers some advice. Luckily some small businesses also know what’s what:
I personally am using cash as much as possible - and I believe you should too!
Stay free, with cash!
